We focus on optimizing our operations, transforming IT to be more sustainable, and collaborating for an environmentally sustainable world.
Environmental Strategy
EMC's Office of Sustainability is developing a unified environmental strategy, integrating it across our business, and building effective internal governance to support execution.
Energy Use and Climate Change
Taking action on climate change strengthens our business for the 21st century. We recognize our responsibility to address our impact, and our carbon disclosure reports are award-winning. We also collaborate to advance a sustainable global society.
Material Use and Waste
We continually strive to reduce material use in our products and operations, recycle what cannot be re-used, and handle any waste with integrity and responsibility.
Collaboration and Engagement
We engage our employees to advance our environmental sustainability journey. We collaborate with peers and governments to reduce the environmental impact of IT operations. And we work to advance IT for a prosperous low-carbon economy.

Water
Although EMC has a relatively small operational water footprint, we take a conscientious approach to conserving this important global resource. In our owned and operated facilities, we minimize water consumption and control wastewater streams. Our manufacturing facilities produce no industrial wastewater.
